if that wasn't some country bumkin ass shit, idk what is.

& when i say that, i'm talking about the strawberry festival in pasadena. my friend & a lot of people here talked about it like it was one of those BIG events that happens once a year that EVERYBODY goes to and loves bc it's just sooo badass.... MY ASS. it was so country and dirty and just ughh. i mean they played country music the WHOLE time & this must be like a fashion thing for all the 'country girls' but they were walking around in these cowgirl boots with like regular outfits like that shit was cute, can you believe that?! & i don't mean just like 1 group of girls, im talking about 2/3 of the girls (and women!) i saw was walking around in these boots like they were the newest prada heels, you shoulda seen them -_-

now does that look like ANY KIND of festival you've seen before?? like everything about it was superrrr country, not to mention the daquiris were $10 (at cheapest) and there was absolutely NOOOO alcohol in it!!! ooo! then they have the nerrrrve to give you a nice little green ticket for a free refill.

oh thanks, so now i have TWO nasty ass slushies for $10. because that sureee wasn't a daquiri i was sippin on. nope. not a drop of rum was in that thing & im willing to bet $$ on that.

like if you're gonna have a festival, make it FUN, bc that's the point, these things are supposed to be fun. im used to going to actual fun festivals that are actually festivals, like the french quarter festival, oh yeahhhhh :] here's a pic of that

now, i KNOW yall see life & funnnn in this picture. and i can personally GUARANTEE yall that there is AT LEAST a shot and a half of some kind of alcohol in everybody's cup you see in this picture that ordered an alcoholic beverage. that's how it goes in nola as far as your drinks: if you ask, YOU SHALL recieve and then some. that's a bet. but hey if i was raised in texas, this would probably be vice versa, you know? so i'm not completely bashing strawberry festival, just not my cup of tea.

but other than that, everything else has been fine :) slept in, got some coffee, cleaned a bit then went to this festival. me & the hubby did it last night. i actually enjoyed it a lot, but i think its just bc it's been so long. it's a shame how unattracted iam to him physically. today was glenn's 3rd day in detox... i wonder how he's doing... can't help but feel super special that i was the first one he told & im probably the only one besides his dad that knows he's even there. everybody else thinks he's on 'vacation'. he did say that he's never had an employee that he's had such a trusting relationship with. hmm, but even knowing that, i keep it humble & try not to get big headed about some of the things he's said to me. yep...

im gonna go prepare for my cool day tomorrow... church with grams, clean my dirty lil car, then go shopping with the husband. for him not me, this boys sense of style makes me wanna run into a brick wall with nails sticking out of it. so, im going with him to make sure he doesn't screw it up. i can't be walking around with him looking like a bum anymore, gotta get him updated with the timesssss.
